Fauna in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses

The area of the Douro and Minho, which belongs to the municipality of Marco de Canaveses is an area conducive to the existence of a wide variety of animals, as it has many forests, groves and pine forests, but also a large agricultural area, which provide the ideal conditions for food and shelter of the wildlife. The terrain is varied but predominantly mountainous, and the pine woods mix with the cultivated fields. Its climate is temperate and Mediterranean with no great extremes.
